1. Application Terms
By submitting this application for a new water/sewerage connection, you may agree to the following terms and conditions set forth by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Gujranwala, Punjab.
2. Accuracy of Information
It is to certify that all the information provided in this application is correct, accurate, and complete. Any false or misleading information may result in rejection of the application.
3. Documentation Requirements
- Valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Property ownership documents or lease agreement
- If applicants have already used sewer services, old paid bills are mandatory.
- Any additional documents as requested by WASAs.
- If the applicant is a tenant, submission of a tenancy agreement along with the written consent of the property owner is mandatory. Without this, no new connection will be installed.
4. Service Charges and Fees
Applicants may agree to pay all applicable connection charges, monthly service charges or any additional charges as levied by WASAs tariff structure. Payment terms and conditions will be subject to WASAs billing policies. The fee paid by the applicant shall be considered one-time payment as a security fee only and will be non-refundable. All additional costs incurred at the site, including excavation work, fuel expenses, and sewer line installation, shall be borne entirely by the applicant/consumer.
5. Installation and Maintenance
WASA reserves the right to determine the feasibility of a connection based on technical and infrastructure availability. Applicants must provide necessary access for installation, maintenance, and meter reading (if applicable).
6. Compliance with Regulations
Applicants are bound to comply with all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding water usage, sewerage disposal, and environmental protection. Any violation may result in disconnecting service(s).
7. Punjab Water and Sanitation Authority Act, 2025
The applicants must comply with all provisions, rules, and requirements of the Punjab Water and Sanitation Authority Act, 2025.
8. Service Limitations
WASA does not guarantee uninterrupted service and shall not be held responsible for any damage resulting in service interruptions due to maintenance, repairs, or circumstances beyond WASAs control or natural disaster.
9. Privacy Policy
Your personal information will be used only for the purpose of processing your application and providing services. WASA is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Application Processing
The processing time of applications may vary depending on technical requirements and completion of documentation. WASA reserves the right to have any additional information or documents required during the review process.
11. Modification of Terms
WASA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of the services shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Non-Transferability of Connection
The water/sewerage connection provided by WASA is for applicant property only and not transferable, assigned, sold, rented, sub-let, or made available for use by any other person without prior written permission from WASA. Any unauthorized transfer or allowing another person to use the connection is strictly prohibited and shall be liable to fine equal to the tariff levied for the entire period and legal action under the relevant provisions of the Punjab Water and Sanitation Authority Act, 2025.
13. Prohibition of Unauthorized Pump/Motor Installation
Installation of motors, pumps, or any device to extract water from WASA's public supply without prior written permission from WASA is illegal. Unauthorized installation or illegal tapping of the public water supply shall result in immediate disconnection and will be liable to fine and legal action under the relevant provisions of the Punjab Water and Sanitation Authority Act, 2025.
